This take on the classic tale of "Goldilocks and the Three Bears" is a fun read. Tres Osos was originally written in Spanish, by a Spanish author, so there are no odd translations to look past. The vocabulary is fun - the author introduces plenty of useful adjectives and verbs to describe the characters' actions, sounds, and feelings. And children are introduced to feminine and
masculine articles, and the proper conjugation of their adjoining adjectives and verbs.
The simple and adorable illustrations inspire a cozy nostalgia for this age-old story.
If you're looking for a classic tale to read in Spanish, you can't go wrong with this sweet Spanish version of Goldilocks. The only downside is its price. As is the case with so many lovely kids' books written originally in Spanish, Tres Osos is on the expensive side to buy in the U.S. But, it's available in hardback and it's a high-quality print.
